I am 27 weeks pregnant and I have a funny looking mole in my armpit that I am seeing a dermatologist about tomorrow. Is it safe to have this removed while pregnant. I told the office I was pregant and I assume they would have told me to wait till after the baby comes if it were dangerous.
Has anyone else had a mole removed while pregnant??

Yes its perfectly safe. They use a local anestetic in a needle around the mole. Then they remove it. This will not in any way affect your pregnacy. I had 2 removed while 8 months with my 3rd child here. I had them in aweful places, and my bra aggitated both of them constantly while pregnant. So, they are now gone, and he is fine.
Dont worry, if it had been an issue they wouldnt have set an appt. for you. And it wont hurt, just thought you would like to know that also. lol

I've had moles removed, but not while pregnant. They'll 1st take a scraping...that's perfectly safe....then depending on the results, I'm sure they'll let you know of any dangers in having it removed.
