I watched my brother's high school hockey team play a team with a girl on it, even though this other team had a separate girls hockey team. Now, after hearing many arguments on this issue, I guess the girl does have a right to play on the boy's team.

However, if that is the case, all the guys who were not able to make the team, should be able to play on the girls team.

However, feminists want it both ways. They want girls to be able to play with the guys, but also want as many girls playing these sports as possible since they know that if there were no gender classifications in physical sports like hockey and football, that at least 90% of the players would be men, due to inherent physical strength and physical aggression advantages.

This is wrong. Either prohibit girls from playing on guys teams, or get rid of gender classifications for sure. And if they get rid of gender classifications, what the number of female athletes drop significantly.

Girls play on girl teams. Boys play on boy teams.

HOWEVER,

If a girl wants to play a sport and there is no girl's version, then she can try out for the boys team. If she makes it, that proves she's good enough to play.

If a guy wants to play a sport and there is no boy's version, then he can try out for the girl's team. If he makes it, then he can play on the team.

That should solve the issue!

Get rid of gender classifications!! Yes!! OMG What a wonderful world that would be!!! There would be few women in pro sports, but the women who were able to compete equitably would be athletes that little girls could REALLY look up to - women who refused to settle for second class requirements!! The combat exclusion on women would be lifted and we'd live in a TRULY egalitarian, androgynous society!! In such a world, I'd rarely have reason for anger!! (BTW - you think men are inherently more agressive than are females!?!? What a load of gender-propaganda crock!)

we tried the whole no gender classification thing when my unit was training with a reme unit (mixed gender). and we were ordered to play a game of murderball (rugby without rules a british army toughering up sport ) and the remes had two women and both be femisnt and up for it told us not to pull any of are tackles, so to sum up storys they left the pitch un able to move for being sore over.
so believe that in non contact sports their shouldnt be gender classifications but in full contact sports their should be gender classifations for their own safety as not mainy women have a chance at stoping a 6,6 16stone paratrooper at full sprint without suffering alot of pain

I will probably be kicked out of the womens club for this. But if a woman can take it like a man than let her. However, feminists can't have it both ways. I think we should drop gender classification and like you said, see the women stats drop dramatically

To that, I add this....

Many LPGA players are vying for a place in PGA tournaments...but none of the men are playing on the lady's tour. I realize that its a matter of money...there is more money to be won on the PGA. But I don't think its right....unless the women are willing to share their tour with the men. Or hey...maybe they should just have one league...and see how many women EARN a position on that tour. That would straighten things out quickly enough....

Are there really any guys that want to play on the girl team? And how many girls really want to play on the boy teams? You should answer these questions before getting so uptight about a girl playing on the guys team.

most girl teams allow boys to play with them as well. The fact is, there are more boy teams than girl teams, forcing them to try out on the boy teams. Also, most boys do not want to play on the girl teams for risk of not looking "manly".

I see your concern, but you make no point.

I know when I played soccer, the other team had like 3 girls on their team. I was like WTF??? But it was pretty cool cause that made their team even worse and they were a lot easier to dribble than guys.

I think they should prohibit girls from playing on boys teams otherwise boys would be playing both on girls and boys team. There really is no point, if they want girls and boys to be able to play together than make a co-ed team.

Glad to see you have had a wake up call mate but you are unfortunately deluding yourself because the motive behind all this is to remove guys from having their own units or organizations and place them in a ghetto.

And as and when required avail there sexual services.

Sometimes the truth can be harder than swallowing a cyanide pill.

Great question my compliments.

Who cares? This 'issue' is hardly of earth-shattering importance.
