You need to find a viable hobby pal. Enough of the Barry Bonds issue.

Bonds did take some kind of anabolic steriod, or HGH, and has later tested positive for that later of the two.
Bonds isn't in great physical shape just because of this though. He has a great diet, solid training program and trained personnel around him working with him on his body.
Fact is, this is old news, Bonds will break the record, and baseball will move on with another black eye to its name. The media hates the guy, baseball never gave him credit before the steriod issue came into the picture, so they definitely aren't going to start now, but the fact is... this guy can play, and was always a gifted player. 755 home runs gifted??? Probably not, but nonetheless, take it or leave it, there are bigger issues the sports needs to focus on, and this ain't it.
Bonds only has one season left in him. Let your thoughts be known, sit back and watch the drama pan out, and who knows, this could end up being a rather exciting season.

I'm a Giants fan. To everyone else, if Barry had more of a likable personality no one would be on his case like they are now. Steroids won't make Michael Jordan shoot more accurately. Steroids won't make Barry Bonds' hand-eye coordination and bat speed any better. You have to make perfect CONTACT with the ball first, to even be able to hit the ball.

He has broken so many other records and was already on his way to breaking many more before the steroid thing ever came up. he is one of the best players to ever play the game of baseball, hands down. If he was on your team, you wouldn't complain.

The complete answer to this is very complicated. First off the steroids body does deteriorate quickly once off the juice. However, if Bonds did use he used a mix of supplements that are different from traditional anabolic steroids used by most athletes. He admitted to using the cream and clear 'accidentally' for a while, those are topical and pill form steroids not injected like normal steroids are. Also he's failed an amphetamines test so he's probably using some kind of metabolism booster, you can find those at most supplement stores. He could have been using something illegal like crystal meth, or even just cough medicine.

So traditionally yes, he would have gotten really fat and weak followed by really droopy and weak. However he's using some stuff most people don't know about or have access to so that he can keep his body in shape. He's also the hardest working man in sports today. He works out between 1 and 3 hours a day every day with the exception of his birthday and his kids birthdays. No one else does that in pro sports. So he could simply have upped his workout a little to keep the body that steroids built.

It is also possible that he doesn't use roids other then the cream and clear and that he's just got amazing genes, but most people don't believe that even though no one has come forward with any real proof that he's ever used them. They didn't even have any evidence that he used the cream and clear but he came forward about it. The problem is he lied and said he used them by accident and thought they were flaxseed oil and multi-vitamins. If he'd told the truth then we might believe him now.

Not necessarily - he was (by all accounts) taking a number of different performance-enhancing drugs, not just steroids, and each would have different effects. Also, consider that MLB's policy is so full of holes that he could easily still be taking many substances without risk of detection.

Barry did not take steroids. What ever happened to innocent till proven guilty? Now its been turned to guilty till proven guilty. Even if he's proven innocent, the fans will still say he's guilty. Cut the guy some slack, going through this can be very stressful.

He takes stuff that MLB won't test. The owners and players union only agreed to test for certain things, which means that players can take other stuff and get away with it.

To peejay: It would make his hand-eye cordination better if he worked on it. Steroids, HGH, and the like are meant to for you to train longer. So, in essence, in could make his batter speed faster and his hand-eye cordination better. As for Michael, who knows what it could have done for him.

Oh, he took them alright! But, Barry Bonds is as far beyond steroids, as.. Einstein was beyond "math". Bonds is a master of applying the right cover, the right supplements, the right chemicals that overlap and can't be diagnosed -- basically like many of the wealthier athletes have been advised and 'doctored'/'trained' since the mid-90s. You're not going to catch a Bonds, Clemens or Giambi anymore than you're going to catch -- Kirby Puckett (the 1st of the Steroid Era to reach the Hall of Fame, who was a clear user in retrospect, as his 4hr, 4hr and then POW! 31hrs seasons show as clear as his old baseball cards). Barry Bonds was unpopular to begin with -- so, he's a perfect villain for Selig (MLB did nothing for 20 years). Bonds has to battle everyone around him -- and MLB lets Sammy Sosa just slip right back into MLB and collect a check? Bonds cheated, as did 5,000 other players -- let's leave him alone. Or, go after Clemens with the same ferocity.

the weight loss wouldn't be as drastic as some might think. Also, if you look closely you'll notice that Bonds ha picked up a little body fat.

He's a cheat. He's a jerk. And he should be banned from going to the hall.

HE'S PROBABLY ON THE JUICE. UNTIL HE FAILS A TEST FOR STEROIDS WE WON'T KNOW THE TRUTH.
