Al-Qaida, of course, today. Because they are a gang after all.
But there are numerous others that are nearly as bad. Mafia is still around, also a gang. Numbers gang in Africa is one of the worst, though.

I agree - I saw the Ross Kemp documentary about the 'Numbers' gang, and the things they'd do just to climb a little higher in the gang was astonishing. They really didn't have any compassion or empathy at all. It was frightening to watch.

No way to know, I don't know any gang members and I have never been the victim of gang violence. I suppose you would have to know the origin and current agenda to realize what drives a gang.

The hardest one to get into is mine. I am the only member who has qualified so far. This keeps the decision making process easy but it also makes the Christmas party a bit flat.
