A psychoanalyst would think about and talk to the patient about her wishes to be loved by him/her. At some point, the psychoanalyst would probably make a clear distinction for the patient about the fact that he doesn't love her. He/she would explain that although he/she cares for the patient, he does not love her. Then, the analyst would help the patient to identify, cope with, and sort out her/his feelings (e.g. disappointment, anger, etc.) about that.

I wouldn't necessarily call the patient delusional. This is basic transference. It's the stuff of a productive therapy.

A psychoanalyst would react internally, with thoughts...not words. She would consider that the patient has delusions about a romantic relationship...out of touch with the reality of the doctor-patient relationship.

Yes. Well you want an honest reaction, right? That would frankly knock me out of my chair!! Because you have no idea how difficult it is to hear problems and dysfunction all day, every day, and how afraid of you they are when even your own relatives see you are joining them. There are days you feel like Frankenstein!!

You have no idea how long and hard it takes to train to help people!! No one would go through all of that unless they wanted to help people deeply and were sure they could be strong enough to do it!!

a phychoanalyst would break in down, like part one, would it would be fair to say that if you really knew him/her you would not except. And that is a truth of "that is not love",{nonacceptance}. Part two would go as followed; look at him/her for what they are and he/she won't except nothing from you in return, and to talk about love would be finding out who he/she really is and to know and understand another is love.acceptance
