This morning, I discovered that my taillights and dash lights were out. I went to replace the fuse (which is a 20) and it blew out as soon as I turned the lights on. I then tried a 25 and 30 and the same thing happened. I tried about 5 fuses and every time, it blew out as soon as I flipped the switch.

Other Details:

It just snowed here and I did a lot of driving around in it yesterday

everything else is working fine (directionals, radio, dome light, warning lights, headlights, brake lights, auto locks, auto windows)

No other fuses are blown out

Thanks in advance

check your side marker lights for a short and the license plate lights. driving in snow can cause either of these to short with the right conditions. which will blow the fuse. if it is not one of these it would have to be a short somewhere in the dash area.

you have a crossed wire somewhere, its possible water got in somehwere and is causing a short but doubtful unless your foot was snow covered and you stuck it up into your dashboard, also don't try bigger fuses stuff overheats and lights on fire, fire and cars are not friends, check your tailights to make sure that water isn't getting in there if it is, thats probably whats shorting out. Did you ever do any personal wiring of the vehiocle, aftermarket radio or lights or anything? if so check the wires to make sure they didn't come undone. Good Luck

If new fuses are blowing out, i think it is being caused by a short somewhere...or maybe a bad ground...

Check or get it checked...asap... you might want to buy a repair book for your car, they have the wiring diagrams for it. at your local auto part store.
