the other day my computer got a virus, and i used some storng anti-virus programs i have to get rid of it . However i really never look at what the results of the scans are i just delete everything it brings up, well i somehow deleted what ever my computer uses to stay networked to our 4 other computers, how can i fix it or do i have to reinstal everything from scratch, is there a program that will fix this network problem, PS im using windows 2000

Most likely, you should be able to simply remove the protocols and clients under your network connection and reinstall them. That should get you back up and working. This isn't a silver bullet, but you should at least try doing that before reloading your system. Windows will check for file dependencies and install them if they're missing or the incorrect version.
