This isn't exactly a phobia per se, but it's difficult for me to enjoy eating something that I feel like I have even the slightest reason to believe that it isn't a safe food source. Like many products in a local organic food store that I've never heard of. No matter how good my tastes buds actually think it tastes, my mind can completely block it out with a simple reminder that the food I'm eating could potentially not be safe and I will think that it tastes bad.
Pretty stupid really.

Bet you've never heard this one before.I have a fear of driving,I tried once or twice and ended up so scared that i have panic attacks, sweat and feel like I'm going to pass out. I'm now 33 and cannot drive.I passed my theory test with flying colours 3 times but as for taking driving lessons, the thought scares the hell out of me.I am so un co-ordinated but I think the major phobia for me,is that I'm more scared of what everyone else is doing when their driving.Totally irational I know, but you did ask! lol

I hate flies. I always think they will get stuck in my hair. I remember when I was young (in the sixties) a women had a cauliflower hairstyle I think it was called (loads of long hair piled on the top) They never used to wash it or comb it for ages and when she went to have it re done there was a flies nest in it and they all came fling out. That is probably why I have a fear of them to this day.

I can't be in deep water that I can't see through. Like the middle of a lake or the ocean. I'm not sure why, because I don't jump when a fish rubs against me or something like that. I just can't be in the water.

Scaffolding!!
- Can't go anywhere near it... Have to cross the street to avoid it.. and scream at any of my mates if they walk near it or under it!!
Couldn't go into my fave shop for ages as they were working on it and had scaffolding round it and couldn't go in until it was down!

mine is the thought of being in a house with a cat, especially the ones who are allowed outside to roam, this is due to my family when i was a kid, it was conditioned into me, like lots of phobias they are associated with an unpleasant experience, so that's why you have conditioned your self to react negative to the cause

I cannot sleep if I can see a mirror from my bed - frightened that I may wake up in the night and see something spooky!
