Where can I fly large kites in Barcelona?

I really want to go to Barcelona for a couple of days but have to persaude my boyfriends who wants to fly his large Kite. Does anyone know of a large space where we would be allowed to do it? Preferably by the sea? Many thanks for your help

I found a site that said that April is kite month. so that might be a good time to go to Barcelona
