Looking for some internet based work I can do from home to earn more money, has to be viable in the UK and no joining fees, no surverys etc. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

As what others have said, waste no time and get on to search for the business/work you want.
When we search the market, we must know what is the current trend and will the trend last? In the past, we used to search through library and encyclopedia for info we want. But now,we search info through the internet. Do you know what Forbes Magazine disclosed recently? "Internet education is the biggest emerging trend of the decade...webucation". Now, we can have education through the net. Do you know how much is Personal Development Industry worth annually? It is US$64 billion! Just have a feel how huge is 1 billion. Convert 1 million seconds, it is 11.5 day but for 1 billion seconds is 31.7 years!
The big cake is right before us but seems like many are still looking for tit bits. Get involved in internet education affiliate program and you will never regret.

There is no such thing. Sorry. To make money you always have to spend money, and unfortunatly, you have to spend it first !!
(try winning the millions on the lottery WITHOUT spending a £1 to do it...)
Please dont waste anymore energy searching for a "something for nothing" way to make more money.
