Indiana Jones? Lara Croft? James Bond? Catwoman? Batman? Supegirl?
For me, the ultimate action hero is Jack Bauer. You can bring him to within an inch of his life, but he still gets up and saves the day, without having to go to the toilet once. What a man!

Before I even read the whole question... "Jack Bauer!" Except I'd tell everyone that I've done more than my share and they can take care of themselves, and I'd leave the country and live under an alias.
I especially love Jack because when he takes out an adversary, he actually shoots them and makes sure they're dead, not like most stupid shows where they get hit on the head and the protagonist thinks it's all over, or they stand there with the gun like a dear in headlights and get it taken from them.
