Tell Me Another: How about this for a plan? You worry about whatever Chicken Little "issue" you choose to, and let us adults worry about real issues. "Global Warming" is nothing but pseudo-scientific blather. Just to show there are no hard feelings though, you are invited to my annual Earth Day spotted owl roast and old tire bonfire. If you've never eaten spotted owl, it tastes much like whooping crane.

Raoul: No. I have 17 years of Catholic education under my belt. One of the main differences between the education I received and the one proffered by the public schools is that I appreciate the scientific method. Apparently, you and your ilk have already made up your minds regarding "Global Warming", and are thus impervious to all further debate. You must be very proud.

Actually,one can make the argument that this winter has validated the claims of many climate experts.They have stated that one of the early symptoms of global warming would be shorter,more intense winters.
Where I live in Missouri,It was 50 degrees on New Year's Day.We didn't see our first snow until the second week of January.Sounds like maybe somebody knew what they were talking about.
So,sticking your head in the sand and flipping off the vast majority of the world won't make it go away.

You might want to wear a longer skirt, your ignorance is sticking out. Clearly, you have no comprehension of ANY of the issues with regard to global warming.
First of all, it's a long-term issue, not an immediate one. I know that's tough for conservatives to wrap their self-involved heads around - after all, if the planet were to die in 100 years, most of the conservatives alive today wouldn't be alive any more, so it wouldn't touch them, so it's not important to them.
Secondly, no one is saying it's caused ONLY by humans. What people are saying is that we are ONE of many factors, and if we can control what we do... why shouldn't we? Just so you can drive a too-big-to-be-on-the-road SUV that you don't know how to park correctly?
You need to chill out. There are fights that are worth fighting. Trying to prevent people from encouraging others to engage in more environment-friendly behavior isn't a worthwhile cause. There are children starving all over the world, and THIS is the cause you choose to fight? The "Down With Environmental Friendliness" fight?
