My parents are REALLY strict with school grades. From monday to friday, I don't have my cell phone and the homeline is somehow locked by them! Let's not forget that I can only hang out with my friends twice a month, but I have to keep my A grades. I'm an A student, I never get less than a B+ and if I do get less, all the "privileges" mentioned above will be terminated! That means I will have no LIFE! And guess what? I just got a C in chemistry! I still didn't tell my parents about it. Should I stay quite about it or should I tell them and suffer? I got an A on the first chemistry test so my average will be a B in chem. which is I THINK acceptable by my parents. So I'm planning on hiding this C from my parents and wait for the final grade, what do you think?

Hey. I know lying is bad morally, but it helps in sticky situations so you know what? Lie. Okay, it won't kill anybody. And it will help you. Believe me. I am a 13 year old girl, and I used to get all A's. But last year, they started turning to B's and that was still okay. This year I got all A's in every single subject but one. Math. I recieved a D- in that. They were okay with it, but they got me a tutor, and made me study with friends, that way, I get to see my friends, and study. I also promised I would study more and try harder if they gave me something I wanted...modeling lessons.
The next semester I got all A's and B- in math. An improvement. But you know what? Maybe a month after that, I got a job as a model modeling some clothes for Lands End. I was very happy, and so were my parents, and that proves that compromises work, most of the time.
I suggest you try talking to your parents about why you think you have no life, as you say, or aren't living it to the fullest. I think it may be a good idea to show them this question. Work with them. Compromise. And yes, my final response it that I think you should hide the C.
Good Luck!

Well, in the long run it's seldom a good idea to keep this kind of thing from your parents. They are likely to find out one way or another and it's better if they hear it from you. However, you might try discussing with them the standards they set for you which do seem somewhat unreasonable. They are obviously doing what they think is best for you but their approach does seem a little inflexible.
It is a very difficult situation. You need to try and get them to discuss with you the rational behind their behaviour, what exactly they are concerned about. Do not allow yourself to become angry and don't argue with them until you have heard everything they have to say. They need to see you as a sensible young adult not a whining teenage brat. If they begin to see you are a responsible person trying to make you way in the world they may begin to trust your judgement a bit more and begin to give you more freedom.
Good luck

Hold that C until better grades! Unfortunately as I read if you tell em, you're the one to suffer but anybody else. The best thing you could do is to follow their rules being that you live under their regs. and roof, so be smart about it until you old enough to tell em that you was better of in a military school, and you would've been a happier teen. It's 2007 and as long as you show em respect and trust they should give you the freedom of self being. You're human and we all make mistakes. Hello?

I would show it to them. If they had a problem with it I would tell them to F**** Off, and say they are the reason and tell them if I'm not given more freedom and allowed to socialize more with friends that I will keep getting worse grades, then if they don't listen start getting worse grades, the way it sounds it can't get any worse then the way you already have it.

i think your parents r over-doing it! however, its only becoz they want the best for u. its best u tell them about the C becoz the truth is going to come out in the end (when they c your B average).get it over n done with now, n it'l be a huge weight off your shoulders.

Unless you keep getting C's and you know they wont find out about this one, then dont tell them, as long as you make up for that C. Good Luck!

Don't hide anything, usually when you do it comes
back bites in you in the butt...
Honesty is the best policy.. Just tell them you will try to do better.
