I admit it, I really don't want to be pregnant right now. I've had a busy life lately and started thinking, wait, I haven't had my period. I've felt bloaty and crampy for a couple of days, but this morning decided to test anyway, because we weren't exactly careful this month.
The results gave a very faint second pink line. I'ts been about two hours now, and that line is slightly darker.
I am freaking out. Should I tell my boyfriend yet? Should I go to the doctor today? Should I re-test tomorrow? Should I buy a different test and re-test tomorrow?

It sounds like you're pregnant. A faint line is a positive and false positives are not common, unless you're taking some sort of fertility drug. But if you're not wanting to be pregnant right now, then I'm sure that's not the case.
Go to the doctor and get a blood test done. Those are more accurate.
I would tell your boyfriend now. He should know so you can make these next important decisions together.

That very faint second line still means positive. Go to your doctor and do their test. At the very least, buy another test, get the one that says the words, "pregnant" or "not pregnant". That's what I bought after taking 3 tests and seeing that faint line, I wanted to know for sure. And, yep, I am pregnant.

I used First Response (I actually used 6 because I though the line would go away...HA...it didn't)
I took my test probably a couple days too early because my first couple tests were EXTREMELY faint...so faint that I almost threw the test away thinking it was a negative!
Your HCG levels (which indicate pregnancy) double every 48 hours...wait a couple days and try again...My positive line got darker and darker and darker each time I took it.
You may not be ready for it...but it sounds like you're pregnant....definately take another test in a couple days though!

I have taken quite a few preg tests in my day I have 3 chilren and twins on the way and have only ever used FR HPT and I have NEVER gotten a false Positive. I have in fact gotten 4 false negitives due to the twins. Theirs never showed up a pos. :( Good Luck!!!
Oh and btw- the box tells you that any faint line is a positive "YES". Call your Dr right away and get yourself a blood test and then tell your boyfriend after it is 100%.

i think u are pregnant as its VERY rare to get a false positive, as the test detects the pregnancy hormone HCG. It can ONLY be present if u are pregnant! If u are pregnant, there is no point in freaking out, it is a situation that needs to be dealt with either way. Good luck, you never know, maybe your life is about to take a turn for the unexpected... that isn't always a bad thing in fact, although it may not feel like it at the mo, it could be the best thing that ever happened to you!!!!

there are RARELY false positives... I had the same thing happen to me - and I'm now 12 weeks pregnant. Retest again (either today or tomorrow) ... they say that your 1st pee in the morning is the best time to test.... and if it comes up positive again - then I would say: Congratulations and Surprise! You're pregnant... thats what happenend to me ...

first calm down. wait about 3 or 4 days. still no period? retest or go to a free preganncy test clinic so it will be teh most accurate. were never ready when teh blessings of life bless. Yes if you are truly feeling this way than your boyfriend should be the first to tell. preganncy test answers are void after so long anyways.

it is very rare that it would give a false positive. in order for it to be positive your body has to give oof the pregnancy hormone nad your body wouldn't preduce thta unless you're pregnant. a faint line still means pregnant
