I've had an Art Class for more then 5 years. My parents want me to become a Doctor or something like that..Any way, I'm really Good at what I do. My freinds love what I draw and so Do my teachers at school. I love drawing. I have A Drafting and Design degree and Graphic Arts degree. Why is it parents expect more of me? Why won't they just let me live my dream of Drawing and Designing? Why does it matter to them?

Go draw.
I wish I followed my artsy dreams.
There are some people who know they cannot live without that life.If you are one of us, go DO it!
You will not be happy until you do.
And while you're at it,
go do some anatomy drawings for money, and co-publish with bio researchers.
Shut them up, if you must.
But do it YOUR way!

Parents always have high ambitions for their children because they want them to succeed. Don't feel bad if they do so. Maybe they see you more capable of getting a degree in Medicine. Drawing is a talent and you already have it but most people don't believe artist or painter a higher degree in the faculty. Whereas, if you become a doctor, you will always be regarded as a doctor. Passing the board exams for such will elevate you to a higher standard in the professional field. I don't mean to belittle artists or painters because this is also a good profession. But maybe your parents have high hopes for you.

parents think you could do more in the world. they have high expectations and dude i am in the same process as you. my parents want me to become a lawyer but i wanna be a anime designer what you should do is get a degree for both of them so then you can switch jobs when you feel the need to and that is what i am going to do but really it is ur life do what you want sometimes that means breaking some of your parents expectations but as long as ur happy they should be to

def. follow your heart....you must be the one to make decisions about your future. this is YOUR life..you are the one who is supposed to shape your future. a lot of parents are this way..because they want what is best for you, but they must understand that you have this wonderful talent and you want to pursue a career in it. what they need to focus on is making sure you are happy in life, & i'm sure they wouldn't want you unhappy doing something your heart wasn't in. so, please, follow your heart & dont throw away your dream. good luck man.
