I've been voting and the 1st answer usually sucks compared to the others, yet it usually has the most votes. I wish people would vote for the best answer instead of trying to get stupid points. It would be much more helpful.

well perhapsyou can prove this sterotype wrong? by picking mine?

Haha, no it is out of sheer laziness, comeone who wants to read through fourteen or fifteen responces, esp. when the bes tone is probably the longest and most boring to those who don't even care about the question they radomly came across while trying to make the most points possible while slothily going through the internet trying to find something to do that will keep their feeble minds intertained for more than five seconds.

Either that or thats just normally the best answer if you prefer the less cynical veiw! : )!

It is sheer laziness.

I'm not a big voter but i usually read them all. And it isn't always the first. Probably one of the first 5 that makes a good point gets the vote.

at the same time as balloting, I chosen the first maximum suitable answer. If everybody has a similar answer, thenI vote for the first one because something might want to have merely copied. yet when somebody else provides a similar answer with extra data to help it, or extra information i will vote for that individual.

People do this because it's the fastest way to get points. They don't even have to wait for the page to finish loading, they just click the first one they see. It's the American way.
