Leonardo Decaprio has come a long way from being on the TV show he was on when he was about 13...I think Titanic opened up a lot of doors for him and he pulled it off. I just watched him in The Departed and he was excellent...has definetly grown up , as this was a totally different, grown up role for him..so I'd say yes, to me he is a very good actor.

It's obvious that he is a good actor. He has however yet to reach his peak. I do believe he will win an oscar someday. Maybe not next year, maybe not in 5 years, but he will deffinetley win one. As for the people commenting on him as a person, and his looks why don't we answer the question that was asked? Is he a good actor? Yes.

I've never heard of him.
However, Leonardo DiCaprio is a fair actor. Not great, but not bad.

Leonardo DiCaprio is a good actor, and his talent totally depends on how his director extracts from him.
Eg.: Beach: Not so good movie,
Titanic: Good movie,
Blood Diamond: good movie... and so on.
