1 of the bags ruptured so i had to have it replaced, so thats why there was no test. plus it was a few days before my 'supposed' period date, so even with a test it would have come out neg. i had local anesthesia, antibiotics, and pain killers.

If you were less than 12-14 days post-ovulation, then there was no implantation.
Until the embryo is implanted, there is no placental tissue, and nothing from your bloodstream (medications, for example) gets to the baby. A pregnancy test (urine or blood) would be negative. Medically speaking, you are not pregnant until there is an implantation.
If you have regular 28 day cycles, implantation occurs at around the time of your expected period.
So if your period wasn't even due yet, you are OK.
Be sure you tell your doctor or midwife all this, though, so they can verify the timing of the medications with your pregnancy. There can aways be variations, especially if your periods are irregular.

First question that begs to be asked is; Why didn't they test you for pregnancy pre-op? I've had 3 surgeries and each one required a pregnancy test pre-op, even when I was 12 and had a cyst removed from my back.

Without knowing what meds you took, it's difficult to determine whether there could be any harm. Consult with your general practitioner.

After reading your edit, you should be fine, but again, you really should consult with your general practitioner. They're trained, and they know alot more than the average joe about how meds are going to affect the unborn. My understanding is local anesthesia doesn't get into your blood stream the same way general does; depending on timing, the painkillers should have had negilgable affect. Without knowing the type of antibiotic, it's hard to say, but most pose little risk of harm to the unborn.

it shouldn't because in the first month they are self sufficainte and don't have a placenta yet. WHat kind of med were they. a lot of antibiotice are fine and some pain meds are too. i think you'll be fine but just in case you may want to tell your doc

Probably not.....But it is certainly something you need to discuss with your doctor. It will depend on what you took and how much. If there is any risk, they will want to moniter your progress and your baby very carefully. I hope you told the doc about those meds at your first visit!
