I signed a contract to be a trainee manager at a juice bar. The contract says that I have 6 months probationary period. During that period, my employment may be terminated at any time. However, 6 months have passed by. I think it is time to ask to raise my pay.

I wanna achieve two goals by writing to my boss. First of all, I wanna finish trainee period to become a manager. second, I wanna raise my pay. I am not English speaker, I don't know how to write this letter either.

Please help me out!!! Thank you.

You signed a contract for six months? I would read over your contract again you maybe entitled to a yearly compensation for wage increase, but that may be it.

However if that is not the case, I would write them telling them that I have now worked 7 months (or whatever time frame you wish) and with my new found experience I feel the need to receive higher pay since my probationary period is now over.

Also if your regular employees have a similar salary than you I would also state that saying: some of the long term employees work 40 hours a week make more money than what I make as a manager trainee.

I used the last one with my employer because I felt that my staff refused to listen to me when they realized that they made more money than me.

due to my capacities, education, experience and performance for the company, I think that you may consider raising my salary.
