PLEASE NOTE: There is no question "IF" we will pay Iraq billions in annual aid. If we don't, opther countries (i.e.: Iran -- who is already financing public works porojects in Southern Iraq) will.

So how much of the U.S. taxpayers money should be sent (annually) to Iraq? $10 billion? $20 billion?

I guess this should be broken down into SHOULD and WILL.

How much SHOULD we send? It will take 50-75 billion annually for at least 6 years to rebuild the infrastructure and provide security.

How much WILL we send? Almost nothing. We will probably send less than we give to Israel (2.46 billion in 2007) each year.

If we leave with a government in place that we like (win) a lot. If we do not like the government that takes over(lose) nothing. The way things are going, my guess is nothing. How much do we give Vietnam and Cambodia?
