It's not a matter of ponying up. The fact of the matter is that there is simply not an audience for leftist talk radio. While the airwaves are overflowing with conservative voices (all quite profitable), every attempt to counter with a liberal voice has been thwarted by the market.
"Fairness Doctrine" be damned. If people do not want to listen, nobody can make them.,

Democrats are more given to a balanced and informed view of the world that disregards ridicule as a method of persuasion, democrats tend to use reason.

That is because most of their listeners were on welfare. The Liberals knew that, but they were surprised when they realized that people on welfare watch their big screen HD TVs instead of listening to the radio.
