First let me say that it doesn't always show if other people answer. I apologize if anything I say is repetitive. There are numerous things you can do. Of course there is the obvious Veterinarian or Vet assistant. There is also a pet shop, humane society, shelters, farms, etc. There is a endless list. It depends on the exact work your looking for to better classify what it is you want to do with the animals.

An animal shelter

Depends on the animals you would like to work with. Most animal shelters don't take birds. I know one woman who gets contacted whenever the animal shelter (SPCA) receives birds and she takes care of them in her home.

Aspca, local zoo, breeders always need kennel help, animal re-hab, animal sanctuary, pet shoppe, dog walking or cat sitting..lots of jobs!

you could work in a lab where they do tests on animals.. something tells me that's not what you had in mind though.. ;)

you could always look into working at a zoo or sea world or something..
