I don't know why, but I'm hatin on that movie hard. They had 3 of the 5 nominations in that category, and Melissa Ethridge won...maybe Ellen fixed it?

For some reason, I'm also not in love with this movie. I don't know why.

My dad told me something once. When a movie is nominated more than once in a category, the votes are usually split and no one wins. So that's probably why a song from Dreamgirls didn't win. Kind of like how the first Godfather was nominated for three best supporting actors and none of them got it.

But needless to say, this was a category I hoped they didn't win.

Dreamgirls was loosely based on the career of the Supremes. You might be right that two lesbians rigged the winner. Cheer up, Diana didn't play fair in real life. She was sleeping with their producer, Barry Gordie and her first daughter, Rhonda is his. The other two Supremes never had a chance to advance their careers the way Diana did.

I was happy that Melissa Etheridge won because I like her music. You knew "Dreamgirls" wasn't going to win because they nominated three songs which split the vote. I think if only one "Dreamgirls" song would have been nominated, it would have won.
