It's either they want to help other people and prove that the information they are presenting is reliable or valid, or just feel the urge to have their answers be voted as the best, answering for the sake of answering and nothing much, really.

But I've found that it's more common for certain people to copy cut and paste from wikipedia,I've never done it,so annoying people cant be original.

I don't see what the problem is, people should be entitled to write as much as they want to after all they are trying to help and advise people. What annoys me the most is people who only write one word answers or partial answers that make no sense!
