I passed my test a few weeks ago and I was doing 32 mph in a 30 mph zone,
I passed a speed camera, I don't know wether it flashed,
Do they give you any grace at all ??

15 mph over is considered reckless driving. 5 miles is considered a grace mph.

In most states, 5 mph over the speed limit, so I usually set my cruise at about 4mph over - I haven't had many tickets. New Mexico has a lower tolerance level in a lot of areas. It is of course better to adhere to the limits set if possible. Local police can legally nail you any time they get ready to. One reason for the grace is to provide a tolerance for the measurement of the speed. The equipment has accuracy tolerance and the angle of attack is also critical - all of these can be argued in court, but most of us just pay the ticket and go on down the road. The 5mph is on a speed of 70mph; at a lower speed like 30mph, I would assume that the tolerance would be less.

PROBABLY NOT
LIVE COPS usually GIVE YOU A FEW (5) mph even though the tickets they issue do have a (1-5 over) space for it.

BY THE WAY........cameras are just another source of income for the cities/towns that use them (they dont get paid 20$-30$ per hour to issue tickets) even though the accident rate increases due to drivers panicking and braking when they see the yellow light in oder to avoid a ticket because of the camera

Speed cameras do not give you a break if they photographed you speeding or running a red light expect a bill in the mail withing 2 weeks. That's why they suck, At least a real Cop might give you a break, but on most Camera's they don't take points off your license, you just get the fine, which makes me think they are just a way the government wants to make more money. Instead of promoting safety

Only at the last. Grace the female warden will lead you out upon the punishment dock above the crowd assembled after the chief
clerk has read your warrent details. Speeding gets you a day in the stocks. Males stand. Females sit. You'll have the neck to toe Egyptian undyed cotton smock and close crop cut hair
under loose garden cap. The 3-leg ironwood stool is nine inches high. Both hands and head are locked between 2 wood slabs. You'll endure only the rude voices of passer-by. Grace departs.

It depends on the county or city. 32 is speeding but it's easier to argue that the radar was wrong or the speedometer was a tiny bit off and you didn't mean to speed when it's only a mph or two so under 10 mph is usually OK.

You should be fine.

There is no grace, it depends on the police officer
if he wants he can give you a ticket for 1 mile over the speed limit. Most don't because there equipment isn't calibrated daily so you can get by with 5 mi over except in Baytown, Seabrook, Kemah just to name a few.

If you are 20 mph over the speed limit, in Ohio at least, it's considered reckless operation. I think. You are probably fine -- I've always heard that within a few mph of the limit is fine.

Usually they're reasonable if you're 5 miles or less over the speed limit. However, some people take it seriously, and will give you the ticket anyway.

Anyway, I think you would have noticed the light flash, so I'm guessing you're in the clear.

Generally, the rule of thumb is that cars can show different speedometer reading due to a need of calibration, therefore, they will usually give a grace of about 5 miles per hour. In my opinion, you're fine. Don't stress over driving...it's a learning experience and should be relaxed.
