File them.Or clip them-don't bite them because that can not only damage your nails it also looks scruffy.After filing them or clipping them,paint them so they look pretty-then you wont want to bite them!
Also some people might say to not push your cuticles back because doing that helps them to grow but that can cause nail problems in the future.There is no way to keep them a permanent legnth.So keep filing them alot and clip them every once in a while.

bite em off..my sister bites hers almost down to the quick, they never grow long, cant even imagine her with long nails
