I don't thnk it's fame at all! Some young girls used to think that they could start a career as an actress by starting in prons (that's what the porn directors would tell them), but I do hope they know better now.
I think it's just the money. And a lot of those girls have been molested or raped before.
Did you really think they really enjoyed it?!!! I mean, have you ever had sex for 5 days i a row, 6 hours a day, with multiple partners? And repeat the same all year long? How can you enjoy it?!

I believe it's the money and perhaps fame for the misguided souls. Some women want to make it in hollywood but they are unlucky so they have to take another pathway to fame.
Of course, the demand for porn just fuels the whole thing.

A lot of time they are trying to break into show-business and they fall into porn and think it will be a stepping stone, but very few porn stars actually get decent roles outside of the porn industry.

Many of them are "acting out." They might have had some previous trauma that they're trying to exercise control over by acting it out, over and over.
Otherwise, it might be the quick cash.
