I was told in elementary school that Black people are immune to head lice. Has this ever been proven to be true, and what if a kid is only half black (half white)? would they be prone to lice or would they be immune?

Actually, any child of any ethnicity can get head lice. African American children, or children with course or kinky hair do have less of a chance of getting them because of the way their hair is constructed. Lice adults have difficulty attaching their eggs to the hair folicle.

Can Biracial Kids Get Lice

Not true. At all. My half-sister's biracial. She had them all the time. I sincerely doubt that black people are immune to head lice--perhaps lice prefer a certain type of hair, so black people don't get it as often, but I can't see how they'd be immune.

ANYONE can get head lice. It doesn't mean that they're dirty, either. Lice like clean hair. For this reason, the Egyptians of old shaved their heads. They were VERY clean people.

Blacks are not immune, but our hair is not a good habitat for lice, they want hair that is weak and easy to move around, like white people's.....

The only reason they say black kids cant get lice is because they put grease or oil in there hair and the lice cant stick. I have biracial children and but pink oil in there hair for that purpose....yuck.
