Despite Shakespeare's use of archaic English his works have the universal themes of love, betrayal, revenge just to name a few themes that anyone in any given age or era can relate to. His works deal with human instincts and emotions that the modern person know about. Technologies, settings and fashion change but the basic principles that a person of any given era hold in high esteem among them faith and love as well as human frailty such as betrayal and revenge, were written in such a way that it transcended the confines of its time.

At least that's the way I see it hehe Goodluck on your essay. Remember to make an outline so as not to lose your train of thought while writing the whole thing. =)

Consider that fairly recently, Romeo and Juliet was made into a modern movie, with guns as swords and cars as carriages. I think the point is, is that the stories and morals in Shakespear's works still carry a meaning today, even though his language is outdated. When you re-write his stories in modern language, the stories become something we can relate to, even 400 years later.
