can anybody tell me the main theme(s) of the play RICHARD III by William Shakespeare???

Deception - Richard will kill anyone to get to the throne
Supernatural - Richard persuades a fortune teller to lie for him
Power - Richard so desperately wants power, to be king

That's just a summary of the themes, of course you'll have to delve into it a bit more.

In Shadowplay, Clare Asquith argues that the bard was using the theater of his day just as Hamlet did -- to send dangerous, skillfully encoded messages to his audience and his monarch. Maybe Richard lll did as well.
