No. This is natural instinctive behaviour, in some families. What is more dangerous is walking on any street, coming home and waring the same shoes in the house. Who knows what is on the soles of shoes, is transferred to the carpet that little 'Johnny' is playing on at the tender age of 5 months, or even more?

I wouldn't know as I have no children, but my friends call theirs rug rats so yes guess they are a type of vermin.
