Personally, no. A contemporary is someone who lives during the same time period as we do, and Shakespeare most certainly does not fit that definition.

Most of the themes he presents in his writings are relevant to us today, though, over 400 years after he wrote them, which is part of what makes him the great writer that he is.

If his words, his sayings and his advises are still applied at every situation same as before, then he certainly is contemporary to every age. materialastic realism dies, and human are all materialastic realism, while their thoughts and their says are everlasting.

No,NEVER.I really hate the most famous and grateful pompy-ompy shake spear.He'll be shaking all the time with Britney spears.Because of him children have to go to school.

Shakespear never was and still is not our contemporary.
