What is the legal age in your state to drop out? Here you must attend school until you are 18 or get your diploma. Students who are not going to school get tickets, their parents get tickets, and habitual truants can even have warrants out on them. See what the laws are in your state first.
Second, As much as you do not like school right now, it is a ton harder to go back to school when you are 40 and decide you need your diploma. See what options are out there for you. Many of the school districts around here offer Independent Studies. Then you only go to school once a week and do the rest of your work at home.
Lastly talk it over with your parents and teachers. There are many options out there that they might be able to guide you to. Do not make this decision without a lot of thought.

This is a very serious decision you are making, and I can't stress that enough.
Surely you can agree with me that a high school diploma will make more jobs available to you than without one? Just having that diploma will open doors that would be shut to you if you drop out now. "But I can get my GED!" you might say, but a GED says something about you: it says that you did not finish high school. Because of this, it is good (equal to a diploma) AND bad (tells your prospective boss right away that you are a high-school dropout).
Stick with it. Can you find one reason to keep going? One class that really sparks your interest? One subject area that really fascinates you? Try to focus on that. Focus on the positive aspects of school and ignore IGNORE the negative ones. Don't even let yourself think about the negative things, the things you hate. As soon as they start creeping into your mind, just tell yourself, "Stop! I don't need to hear this!"
One last thing. You say you can't help it, but YOU are the only who can help it. This is a decision that YOU have to make for yourself. No one can make you want to go or make you like to go except for yourself. Take responsibility.

How are you going to support yourself? What do your parents think? What are your plans for the future? If you have answers to all of these and think that you will be satisfied in a decade or two with your decision, then have fun

you'll be sorry. been there, done that. figure out what it is that makes you not want to be there. it could be that you're in a rut, not challanged enough or that you're involved in the wrong things. i know it can sounds geeky but, join something. find something that interests you at school. there must be something. talk to your counseler about what you're feeling. they really can help if you want them to. you have to make the effort though. stay in school.
