Different styles of housing in different parts of the country and according to budget.
In the towns and cities most houses are built from concrete blocks with concrete floors. The better quality houses have a tiled roof, others have a corrugated sheet metal roof.
The majority of houses are quite small and single storey. Those shown in the links in the previous answer are good quality houses and are beyond the means of the majority of Ghanaians, most houses are much simpler.
In rural areas, and especially in the north of the country, the more substantial houses are made from concrete with a tin roof but many are made from baked earth with a straw roof.
Concrete is extensively used because it's readily available, quick, cheap and easy. Timber is rarely used in houses except for doors, window frames and roof trusses. Concrete blocks are usually made by traders working at the roadside.
In rural areas transporting concrete and concrete blocks is difficult and expensive so materials that are immediately available tend to be favoured.
Most Ghanaians are very poor and the predominant type of house is a basic, single storey, rectangular building.

Most of the newer homes are built out of concrete blocks with iron rod supports. After which the blocks are plastered smooth and then painted the color of the homeowners choice. Roofing types range from Spanish tile style to asbestos sheets to a new style called long span which have a look of Spanish tile, but without the weight.
This type of building tends to be cooler inside, and is very durable.
I currently live in Ghana and we are building a house in Dawhenya, not far from Accra.
