Try using a nail brush this can be a bit painful though,or soak your hands in a mild solution of bleach and water.Lemon juice helps as well
Best thing to use when putting on the fake tan is a pair of gloves the ones they supply free at petrol stations are just the job

i fake tan weekly and Ive used the whole lemon thing and it doesn't work, most instant fake tans wash off immediately, however ones with food dye as a guide dint, most of the top brands do a remover to be applied immediately, i haven't got a clue what would take it off in the home good luck

Lemon juice helps with streaks. I know with Mary Kay sunless tanning you can use shampoo or nail polish remover. Never tried the nail polish remover so make sure you test a small area. Good Luck

If you get it on your hands while putting on the fake tan, use toothpaste to get it off.
