Find this x and y then can do the 2nd question. 3(x)-2(y) = 4

If... x is 2, y is 2
then... the ans is 3(2)-2(2) = 2 (The Wrong answer coz it tell u to find 4)

If... x is 2, y is 1
then... the ans is 3(2)-2(1) = 4 (Correct Ans)

THEN,...
DO 2nd Question!!!

1st question said that x is 2, y is 1 then let me double check on 2nd question!

3(x)+6(y)=12
3(2)+6(1)=12 (It is the correct!!)

That means that x is 2 , y is 1. :D

or you can rearrange you equation

>>> 3x = 4 + 2y(equation 1 )
>>> 3x = 12-6y ( equation 2)

so equa1 = equa2

4+ 2y = 12 - 6y
6y + 2y = 12 - 4
8 y = 8
y = 8/8
y = 1

To find x, substitute 1 into any of the equations,could be
3x = 4 + 2 (1)
3x = 6
x = 6/3
x = 2

So, y = 1 and x = 2

the first thing to do is to multiply 3x-2y=4 by -1 which will give you
-3x+2y= -4 by elimination:
(-3x+2y= -4) + (3x+6y=12) ... this will give you the answer
of y=1
To get x just substitute the value of y to one of the equations:
3x+6y=12
3x+6(1)=12
3x= 6
x=2

3x+6y=12
3x-2y=4

Multiply the II eqn with a - and add them both

3x+6y=12
-3x+2y=-4

8y=8 -> y=1

Substitute Y in any of the equations

3x-2=4 -> 3x = 6 => x = 2

Multiplying the first relation by -1 you have
-3x+2y=-4

Then add the above relation with the second one you have been given. This way u got
8y=20
Which leads to y=5/2

If u put the y value u have found above into one of the two relation u got u will find out that x=3

So x=3 and y=5/2
