Are republicans this small minded, foolish, and, well, nuts?

Why does just about every republican think the entire media is some kind of coordinated liberal orchestrated plot? (Like the democrats are ever organized!) I think of this liberal media ranting as something uneducated folks from west virginia would say in the 1950's. Are republicans just hillbilly's in disguise?

I think the root of the problem is that a lot of people who are drawn to show business and journalism, which is an art form as well, are by nature more liberal. This inner liberalism always seems to show in their work.
I am neither liberal nor conservative. I am a moderate. And, I notice a liberal slant in most news reporting. I believe it is impossible for news people to be totally objective. For instance, NPR reports on a daily basis at the top of their news how many Americans were blown up and killed in Iraq, how many suicide bombers, etc, then follows that with reports on how the military is trying unsuccessfully to cope with it. The end of the report always leaves you with a feeling of hopelessness.
After that they have upbeat news on Democratic candidates for president. The slant is always how and in which order these news networks present the news. Start the news with how bad things are, show how there seems to be no solution with current management, then show glowing news about opposition candidates.
Anyway, back to my original point. Most people who gravitate towards careers in fields of artistic endeavors are by nature liberal minded people. It shouldn't surprise anyone that they report or present things with a liberal slant. They are who they are.

I vote Democrat and son't feel that way about Republicans. Most are rational and well intentioned like we are. They are also Americans too. There are those on both sides who paint each other with a broad stroke but I pretty much ignore them as they should be ignored. They are too extreme to be relevant.
