-2, 1, and 2 goes in the X-axis(the horizontal axis). The 4, 0, and -5 goes in the Y-axis(vertical axis). So, you just put -2, on the X-axis, then you find +4 on the Y-axis. Then you put a dot or a star, or a happy face, or whatever on the point where they meet. Do this for all of them, and you've got it!

draw an x, y axes, ie two lines perpendicular on your paper, the first number in each parentheses is the x coordinate, so count that far from the up down (y) axes, for negative move left and for positive right, staying on the horizontal axes
once you have moved that far over, then look at the second number the y coordinate, count that far up or down, depending on negative or positive, and put your dot there, label it with the coordinates
