It would take some time to slow down or there would be devastation on the surface, not so bad at the poles.
Then one side would freeze while the other side burned.
The sun will go on for another 5 billion years,so you don't have to worry about that.
When the human race reaches the time when it is capable of destroying itself it will do so.
Give it another 2 or 3 hundred years..

Well, it's not going to happen. But if it did, one side of the world would be incredibly hot, while the other would be covered with ice. There would be a small habitable area along the border between the day and night sides.
The sun won't burn out in 5,000 years, either. It'll grow bigger and likely swallow earth once it becomes a red giant, then shrink down to a white dwarf in 5 billion years.
Despite what some people may think, we wouldn't go flying off the earth. The spin of earth doesn't create gravity. If the earth stopped spinning, we might be slightly heavier, actually. But it would be a very small and unnoticeable difference.

Why would you worry about the world not spinning? Objects in motion tend to remain in motion unless some external force acts on it. It would take a huge force to stop the Earth from spinning. In the past 300 million years, the length of an average day has only increased by 2 hours.
The sun will not burn out for about 5 billion (not million, not thousand) years.
As for the human species, it is inevitable that it will eventually result in a daughter species or just become extinct. The average length of existence of a hominid species is about 1-2 million years. We have a long time yet.

human beings on the equator would pass flying at approximately 465m/s to the east, and anybody else would pass a flying a splash slower counting on their place. There would be vast quantities of earthquakes and organic distasters. The water's momentum would deliver it flowing inland, virtually drowning the completed earth. it is that if all of it happened incredibly unexpectedly of direction. If it happened slowly, then none of that ought to take place (we would nonetheless in all probability see extra advantageous organic failures, yet not incredibly to a similar volume). whether, whilst it did end, the ingredient that stopped dealing with the sunlight would replace right into a dessert, that wou parch the earth, and the ingredient that stopped removed from the sunlight would replace into chilly, like the sunshine and dark sides of the moon.

Earth is not going to stop spinning. Over 99% of all species that have ever inhabited Earth have died out. Humans are no different. Earth will not end just because humans no longer exist.

You really should study basic physics. The Earth used to rotate 3 times faster than it now does, and is gradually slowing down, due to wind and tides, but has billions more years of rotation left in it, and the sun will only just begin to start turning into a red giant in 500,000,000 years, and take a very long time after that to reach its maximum size.

Due to Centripetal and Centrifugal force the earth is spinning without colliding with the other spinning planet in the solar system. If earth stops collision between the planets in the solar system is inevitable and whole solar exist will colapse which result destruction to all human beings. when will it happen we can say and worrying about this is no meaning. Whatever created by god one day or other will cease that is quite nature we will have to accept it. We have to accept it nature and compromise our self OK

I think the sun will last another 5 million years, not 5000. When the earth stops spinning... first it will slow and the days and nights will grow longer.... means hotter and colder. when it stops... we burn and freeze... so, I hope that before that day they send up a pulling rocket that pulls us to a spin again... well, If we think about the earth stopping... I like to think we can set it spinning again...
all these doomsday scenario's scare me too.. but that is inherent to being human I guess... we just don't want our beautiful earth to stop existing, we indeed are proud beings..

You are right, nothing lasts forever. If you spend your time on earth when it is spinning worrying about what will happen when it stops, you will not be able to enjoy yourself.
Don't worry about things that are out of your control.

I do not worry about this issue. I am certain that the Earth won't stop turning around [her axis and the sun].
Why? simply the warriors of God [i.e. the Angels] never - not even for the smallest part of time - stop fighting against the warriors of devil [i.e. the daemons].
this is a matter of believe, not a matter of science.
