i am a sign language interpreter and have to interpret this poem soon. to give a effective interpretation i need to unpack the meaning. im having difficulty with some versus because of the poetic wording. HELP!!!!

It is simply a poem about the love of her home country, Australia. There is no hidden meaning, even the language is fairly straight forward (it takes only a second to realize that "rainbow gold" is opal).She is "painting" you a picture of Australia with words- the color imagery is very strong. I appreciate that sign language is very interpretive, but I would stick as close as possible to this poets wording because she has already done the work for you!
