What do you think she thinks of it?

I read she not only saw it, but said something like:
I'm glad someone finally showed our side and what we went thru.
However, Tabloids at the time said, she showed no feeling as to her dislike of Princess Diana; however, that feeling has changed, and the austere public prescence is still maintained. Doesn't mean they don't have feelings.
Prince Charles even had to go on a retreat; regretting their relationship never worked. He was in grief for his sons loosing their mother.
Anyone who writes back smart comments about Charles affair or pining for his True Love needs a reality check.
None of us are perfect; and when she was single, he should have been allowed to marry her!
However, then Diana wouldn't have showed the world what she COULD DO & we wouldn't have Henry and . ..
So, who knows.
Prince Charles, despite the affair, has high integrity, has helped Britain a lot, the local farmers, projects on eco-projects, modern architecture, etc.
He can be austere; so can the Queen (it's Elizabeth IV) by the way; but I have always been touched by her personal addresses, which aren't broadcast here (in USA) as much as they used to be.
True; their "salary" might be too high still; but, they still mean a lot to England.
Now watch a lot of Brits write in.
Go for it; but, from what I read, she saw it,liked it, and admired Helen Mirren for finally portraying the grief her position demanded she 'not' show: alas, some things don't change!!

i would have thought that someone connected to the royal family would have checked the film out to ensure that it shows the royal family in a good light,no embarrassing moments ,etc. The Queen may have seen it herself..it must be strange to sit down and watch "yourself".

Very possibly. However, even if HM Queen sees or has seen the film "The Queen", we are never likely to know HMs opinion of it.

"We are not amused" perhaps?

No. Buckingham palace is currently trying to arrange it.

They're also trying to arrange a meeting between the real queen and the actress in the film.

I read in the British press that she has seen it, she likes the movie and is very pleased that Helen Mirren won all those awards, especially the Oscar.
