I believe all hotels in Manila have internet access. Although they charge an arm and a leg for you to use broadband on the premises. To save money, just look for an internet cafe around your hotel. These can range from expensive (1 peso per minute) or the mid range (20-40 pesos/hour). All internet cafes whether low priced or higher priced have at least 128 kbps DSL. You can tell the pricier ones because their advertising will cater more to gamers who play MMORPGS (need faster connection), while the cheaper ones will tend to emphasize word processing, fax services, etc. All internet cafes in Manila offer both games and regular surfing, mind you.
As for hotels in the mid budget... depends on what you plan to do. Metro Manila is composed of 9 adjacent cities (if I recall correctly), total population approx 10 million. I live in Makati, the financial district of Manila. You can check out hotels at this link:
I got this by googling "hotels makati avenue":
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g298450-d308314-Reviews-City_Garden_Hotel_Makati-Makati_National_Capital_Region_Luzon.html
City Garden hotel is where my friend works, and there are at least 3 good internet cafes within walking distance of it.
Bottomline is, even in the provinces of the Philippines you can find DSL or cable internet providers. You won't lack for internet connectivity if you stay in the city. Just tell anyone you're looking for an "internet cafe" and they can point you to a nearby one.
Have a wonderful trip to Manila :)

varnaliah, where the hell did you get that info?! rooms at the prime Dusit Hotel in makati rates start at 100bucks...who the hell is going to pay for one-hour online access for a 100bucks?
btw, internet cafes are all over the city, you can virtually find them everywhere, i believe that all hotels in the city offers internet connection that charge reasonable prices. expensive ones are only limited to the first class hotels but not 100bucks an hour. manila/philippines is an "easy-to-travel" place in asia...people speak better english here than india or singapore, you can always inquire to peepz around. kudos!

Of course they do. Even Wi-fi at many hotels as well as some restaurants. Internet is about as common around the world as telephones nowadays.

500 pesos? Honey, your 500 pesos ought to in basic terms bypass so a ways as one greater mattress. Descent inns in Makati cost an prevalent of two,000 pesos an afternoon for room accomodation and you're fortunate if that should even comprise a loose breakfast meal.

i can really qualify on what is the price range that you consider expensive... but i advise if you're on a budget, you can rent your hotel of choice and not to worry about internet connection because there's virtually an internet shop in every corner in the city..
computer rentals ranges from 0.5 to 1 US$ / hour
you can try these pages for reference

most hotels in the city do have internet connections. if not (very rare case), there are countless internet cafes that charge much less than a dollar per hour. I believe 5 star hotels start at a 100 dollars a day
