I have a 25hp Mariner and it skips at 3/4 throttle and up...it has a new prop and not sure if it's cavitating. Anyone have any ideas??

Sounds like ventilation not cavitation. Is the motor set all the way down on the transom or do you have it to far up. Is it a short shaft on a long transom ?

"skip" is a vague word. does the engine misfire? if so, that particular unit's trigger wires tend to break or crack up near the flywheel. an electrical tester will work. hook it up for resistance and move the timing arm all the way forward and back several times.

Sounds like maybe just a spark plug misfiring to me...
