Not really, anyone can call themselves an Englishman or woman nowadays, but then again this as always happened. Just look at the thousands of crooks and poseurs who live in Spain, South Africa and such these people still call themselves English and even claim social security and vote here will evading the laws of the country so there is nothing to be proud of in being English.

Like most people born in England, I am proud to be English. The British government wants to deny the English their birthright. there is no democracy for the English. The Scots, Irish and welsh all have their own Parliaments.
Unlike many Britons most English are also proud to be British but always English first.
Maybe you touched a nerve!!!!!!

Ralph.
I, humble, poor, and lowly born
The meanest in the port division
The butt of epauletted scorn
The mark of quarter-deck derision
Have dared to raise my wormy eyes
Above the dust to which you'd mould me
In manhood's glorious pride to rise,
I am an Englishman, behold me!
Josephine.
He, humble, poor, and lowly born,
The meanest in the port division
The butt of epauletted scorn
The mark of quarter-deck derision
Has dared to raise his wormy eyes
Above the dust to which you'd mould him,
In manhood's glorious pride to rise,
He is an Englishman, behold him!
I
All.
He is an Englishman!
Boatswain.
He is an Englishman!
For he himself has said it,
And it's greatly to his credit,
That he is an Englishman!
All.
That he is an Englishman!
Boatswain.
For he might have been a Roosian,
A French, or Turk, or Proosian,
Or perhaps Itali-an!
All.
Or perhaps Itali-an!
Boatswain.
But in spite of all temptations
To belong to other nations,
He remains an Englishman!
He remains an Englishman!
All.
For in spite of all temptations
To belong to other nations,
He remains an Englishman!
He remains an Englishman!

There is, but they are steadily becoming fewer unfortunately. This is because of the 'diversity' which has been enforced upon us by a politically correct government. England is begining to lose its customs, its traditions, and its identity...We are doomed!

Yes, and when it comes to form filling, I always put British - White - English and don't care who complains - it's all true, so why should I be denied the right to say it ! ! !
