I've been watching anime ever since I was 7 (Nausicca's Valley of the Winds was the first I ever saw) and I'm 27 now, about to be a first time mommy in July. My husband, who is 31, loves anime just as much as I do. I think that's the main reason why we hooked up, lol. There is nothing wrong with watching anime. I love all genres and it makes me feel like a kid again in some ways. BTW, you will only get the anime porn if thats what you are looking for. I own a huge library of anime that doesn't have any porn in it.

Hey! try going to a place in Southeast Asia where anime rules in the youth culture. Also there anime and manga stores in the malls today.
Everywhere turn there is anime this and manga that well that is the
way people like it for some reason.
Either the way is drawn, style or whatever reason it is.

I am so agree with blue_13...
it is ur opinion.. and for me.. i LOVE it..
there's the rating age .. so u could match up with the genre too for which one u'll like..
anime also created with a lot of imaginatin.. so creatively done and inspired us too (most of them) even though sometimes it's hidden in many ways.. of violent, sweetness, and lots of moments.. ( x ] ).. a lot of foreshadowing sometimes, which i like.. x]
so it is not weird.. (for me) and it depends on the anime though .. i dislike hentai anime .. > that's what u call..."WEIRD to watch" and to the person who watch it..
but not most of anime makes up from hentai.. (eeewww)
(and if u still thinks that watching anime is weird i'm gonna make a persuesive essay so u could believe me..) lol. Just Kidding

I got into it because a friend showed it to me and now i can't leave it alone i mean who cant love anime? Well My Mom for 1.
She threw my Shoen Jump away and now i can't ever read it till ti graduate. I love Naruto, Yu-gi-oh, Inyuyasha, and another 1 i cant pronouce.^-^
Not at all depends on what kind of anime?

No.I mean, you cannot control what other people think,can you? I myself is a certified addict. I don't know why but i vie for it. Oh well...I'm turning 14 and i still love watching it. I mean not all, but most. And i swear to never let go of it until i grow old. Your question is the same as asking different people, "Is it weird not to sleep at night?" You'll get different answers of course; but nonetheless, it's actually YOUR opinion that counts.

NO! And I disagree with you Eve. Not all anime is porn. I am saying that because I am too an anime fan and I have watch many animes WITHOUT a slightest bit of porn!

Totally no!! I started it I can't put it down...anime is really good...you will love it and won't feel weird about it after you start.
For me at school, in my class we ahve 3 anime fans(including me)...the others sometimes think we are weird when we talk about anime...But I mean...it just like a hobby...probably a unusual one but there's nothing weird

Not at all. I've been watching for several years, and I agree with hinata and Tess, not all anime is porn. There are plenty of anime films that are geared toward younger children. i.e.: Miyazaki's "Spirited Away", "My Neighbor Totoro", and "Kiki's Delivery Service".
