During the 70s and 80s they got it all from us. Of course, back then they were "Freedom Fighters".

Drugs. When they were in power the Taliban banned opium poppy production, but now they allow it in lands they control because it's pretty much their only source of money apart from a few rich dextremists. Al large proportion of all heroin is made from afghan poppies, and some of that money goes to the Taliban.
As for weapons, many of them were supplied by the USA to help the taliban fight the Soviets during the 80s, and they've still got them now.

Taliban is financed by rich Muslims.Besides it may have connections with drug distribution (under ground)which is highly remunerative.Weapons can be purchased fro any where.
Many Muslim countries like Pakistan give large funds and hiding facilities to Talibans .
Not be surprised if next Taliban attack on US destinations come from Pakistan

Money comes from drugs. Stop snorting and bin Laden will have to dig into his Saudi connections. Weapons, I guess, will come from certain rogue states within the old Russia, from the new Russia and from China via Iran and Syria. Wouldn't be surprised to find they're still using weapons supplied by America. Funny old world.

Other extreme shii'ite groups, Syria, Iran, trade within their own country. By the way, the Taliban iradicated the drug trade when they were in power in Afghanastan.

Most of their weapons are American.
Most of their money comes from Islamic fundamentalists in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
