Lattes have warm milk, which will help make you sleepy - plus they have espresso, which has less caffeine that regular coffee. Just drink plain strong coffee, with beans that have NOT been double-roasted (the more the beans are roasted, the less caffeine they will have). Sugar will keep you up, but then you'll crash later and be more tired that you were before. Protein is the way to keep a sustained energy level - so snack on dry-roasted nuts or cheese......

less tired why? because of a certain ingredient it has and that is CAFFEINE caffeine is is a xanthine alkaloid compound that acts as a stimulant in humans. The word comes from the French term for coffee, café.Caffeine is also called guaranine when found in guarana, mateine when found in mate, and theine when found in tea. It is found in the leaves and beans of the coffee plant, in tea, yerba mate, and guarana berries, the kola nut, the Yaupon Holly, and in small quantities in cocoa. Overall, caffeine is found in the beans, leaves, and fruit of over 60 plants, where it acts as a natural pesticide that paralyzes and kills certain insects feeding on the plants.
Caffeine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant, having the effect of temporarily warding off drowsiness and restoring alertness. Beverages containing caffeine, such as coffee, tea, soft drinks and energy drinks enjoy great popularity; caffeine is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive substance, but unlike most other psychoactive substances, it is legal and unregulated in nearly all jurisdictions. In North America, 90% of adults consume caffeine daily. hope that helps

I have been drinking coffee for too many years, It doesn't do anything to me, but if you have never drank coffee or other caffeine drinks take it easy because it can make you jittery and even give you a headache or stomach ache, if you have heard lately in the news several kids got sick from drinking those high energy drinks because of the high caffeine content, they are now restricting the sales of these types of drinks to 18 and older.

well the thing about coffee that most people drink it for is the high caffeine content. s typical cup of coffee contains about 80-140 mg of caffeine. and caffeine is a stimulant. in most cases caffeine will help in waking a person up. however everyone's body is different and therefore everyone reacts to caffeine differently. some may become edgy, some sleepy, and some (like me) take no effect from it whatsoever

less tired...but if I am doing a late shift, it's gotta be some sort of energy drink....but if I am past the 24 hour mark...nothing will help...I've fallen asleep sitting, with a can of energy in my hand...funny thing is, I woke up and not one drop spilled.....
