If you have a google tool bar installed then click the drop down menu in the search box and you will find the "clear search history" .just click it to clear it out. same for yahoo.
and if you don't have any google or yahoo tool bar installed then simply go to tools menu from your Internet explorer,select the last option ---"Internet option" and click the button delete files...click in the check box also for deleting off line contents.....this will help you erase temporary files and keep your privacy secret.

go to your toolbar and hit tools when it opens up hit the delet internensearch button that should do it
