I work at Chrysler and no it has not been bought bt TATA.I don't think Daimler will even sell Chrysler. It is just a scare tatic since the UAW contract expires in September. They say Chrysler lost money in 2006 but paid the shareholders quite well. Also sales are not that bad,I work at the Jeep Wrangler plant and we are working unlimited overtime. The Dodge Nitro is hot,the Dodge Ram set a new sales record last year and Chrysler owns almost 50% of the van market,so I don't see why they would want to sell Chrysler. Also Chrysler Financial has not lost any money in the last 5 years and has had record profits.

no it has not.
GM is mulling a buy,
as is Magna.
it has not been sold as of this date.
And daimlerchrysler has stated they will be very cautious of buyers and will not sell to a company they think will destroy the marque or not understand its importance in american economic culture. Any non-US company, ergo a non-global asian company llike the aforementioned, will have a tough time getting a deal.
