Both are great places but Thailand would be a fantastic place to live and work because it sounds like you'd be earning a good amount of money, and in Thailand things are cheaper so your money would last longer and you could afford to live a better lifestyle than in Australia

I'd go to Australia, but then again I've always wanted to go there. The downside is they have the largest percentage of poisonous snakes in the world, and the largest amount of serial killers too (ever see that movie Wolf River? They never caught him, and it's a true story.)
Thailand is also a beautiful country, but I don't know much about it. Check online about the countries, and what the cities are like where you would be (via online). You can also post questions on yahoo answers on stuff about Australia and Thailand.

I live in Aussie and have been to Thailand before ...Come here in Oz. Things are cheap in Thailand but some of the locals are shifty everywhere u go they Will be asking if u want to buy drugs...Which is very scary...but don't get me wrong the place is beautiful..Australia is more safe, cleaner water and food, better health care system is anything were to go wrong (you may never know)...So come down mate and have fun!

The best solution is to accept the job offer in Oz & during your holiday travel to Thailand (its only short flight from Australia)

Are you an Asian? If you are, then you can go to Australia for a view of another culture. If you are not, then go to Thailand and experience the Asian culture first-hand.
